Bissell MultiClean Allergen Lift-Off Pet Vacuum, HEPA, Tangle-Free, 2998

The BISSELL MultiClean Allergen Lift-Off Pet Vacuum (model 2998) is an upright vacuum designed specifically for homes managing pet hair and common household dust. It combines the deep-cleaning power of a traditional upright machine with a 2-in-1 detachable pod, making it simple to transition from large floor areas to above-floor cleaning.

For pet owners, hair management is a core priority. This model features a specialized tangle-free brush roll engineered to actively resist hair wrap, which cuts down on manual maintenance when moving across carpets and hard floors. Integrated LED headlights help spot loose fur and debris hidden in dark areas or underneath low furniture, while swivel steering allows you to guide the floor nozzle around obstacles smoothly.

Air filtration is handled by a HEPA sealed allergen system that captures 99.97% of dust and allergens. Because the system is sealed, trapped particles stay inside the unit rather than escaping back into the room. When cleaning stairs, furniture, or high surfaces, the lift-off canister unlatches from the main frame, giving you the portable reach of a handheld unit with upright-level suction. Ongoing upkeep is kept straightforward with an easy-empty dirt tank.

While the lift-off design adds plenty of reach, the upright structure still has practical limits. The listing does not state the exact dirt tank capacity, cord length, or weight, so shoppers looking for specific dimensional specs will need to keep that in mind. Furthermore, no extra accessory tools are detailed in the product specifications beyond the integrated lift-off pod.

Verdict: The BISSELL MultiClean Allergen Lift-Off 2998 is an excellent choice for pet owners and allergy-sensitive households looking for strong floor suction and easy above-floor versatility. It delivers sealed HEPA filtration and hair-resistant floor cleaning without complicated maintenance.
