Drywall Sander, 2025 Upgraded 8-Amp Popcorn Ceiling Removal Tool, Blue

The IMQUALI Drywall Sander provides a powered solution for smoothing plaster, stripping paint coatings, and tackling popcorn ceiling removal. Designed to reduce manual labor during large renovation projects, it combines an 8-amp pure copper motor with an integrated dust extraction system to keep indoor workspaces cleaner.

A 7-level variable speed dial lets you adjust disc rotation between 800 and 1800 RPM. This speed range gives you fine control whether you need aggressive removal on stubborn ceiling textures or gentle passes across fresh drywall joints. For working in poorly lit rooms, a 360-degree LED light strip illuminates the surface directly around the sanding head so you can spot uneven spots as you work.

Handling higher walls and overhead ceilings is made easier with a collapsible, telescopic handle that extends from 3.9 to 5.5 feet. The sander unit weighs 8.59 pounds, and the full assembly with rod, hose, and collection bag totals 10 pounds. To reach tight spaces, the sanding head features a detachable corner edge that allows the 10-hole sanding disc to sit flush against ceiling corners and wall joints.

As with many high-velocity sanding tools, the manufacturer notes that slight static electricity can occur in dry room conditions. To ensure the vacuum system captures dust effectively, you must keep the sanding pad completely parallel against the surface during operation to prevent dust from escaping around the edges.

Verdict: The IMQUALI Drywall Sander is a capable, feature-packed tool for homeowners and renovators looking to tackle ceiling texture removal and wall prep without hiring outside help. Its extendable handle, dust collection kit, and included multi-grit sandpaper pack make it ready to handle full room renovations out of the box.
