Dyson V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, Yellow/Nickel

The Dyson V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is built for whole-home deep cleaning across multiple surface types. Designed for busy households tackling both everyday dirt and pet hair, it combines strong suction with intelligent sensors that automatically adjust power depending on floor type and debris volume. Its cordless build and lightweight materials make it easy to carry up stairs and transition between rooms.

Floor cleaning relies on two specialized cleaner heads included in the box. The Fluffy Optic head illuminates hard floors to reveal dust that is otherwise hard to see, while the Digital Motorbar handles carpets and hard floors by actively de-tangling long hair and pet fur. For localized messes, the vacuum converts into a handheld setup. The specialized Hair screw tool uses an anti-tangle conical brush bar to clear hair quickly from car seats, stairs, and pet beds without binding up.

Real-time feedback is integrated into the built-in LCD screen at the top of the handle. It displays particle count readouts, active power modes, maintenance reminders, and a battery countdown accurate to the second. To maximize battery efficiency, a power trigger ensures energy is only consumed while actively vacuuming, allowing up to 60 minutes of run time on a charge. Inside, a whole-machine filtration system traps 99.99% of particles down to 0.3 microns to help keep expelled air clean.

As a cordless stick vacuum, total runtime depends heavily on the selected power mode and floor conditions, meaning heavy-duty settings will deplete the charge faster than the 60-minute maximum. The trigger-operated switch requires steady finger engagement during use, which may feel different for users accustomed to continuous on-off switches. Additionally, tracking machine guides and maintenance alerts requires registering the unit on the MyDyson app.

Verdict: The Dyson V15 Detect is an excellent choice for homeowners and pet owners who need powerful, adaptable cleaning for both hard floors and carpets. Its combination of particle illumination, anti-tangle tools, and filtration delivers thorough cleaning throughout the house.
