Eureka Lightweight Powerful Upright Vacuum Cleaner for Carpet and Hard Floor, PowerSpeed,

The Eureka PowerSpeed Upright Vacuum Cleaner is built for whole-home cleaning across various flooring types without feeling overly heavy. Equipped with an upgraded cyclone system, it is designed to extract deep, embedded dirt from carpeting while capturing everything from large debris to microscopic dust. It is well-suited for households needing a straightforward upright that transitions easily from thick rugs to bare floors.

Surface versatility is managed through five distinct height settings. You can switch between bare hardwood, standard carpet, and high-pile shag rugs to ensure the roller makes proper contact. The base is fitted with smooth wheels to guard hardwood floors against accidental gouges or scratches, while the internal filtration traps 99.9% of dust, pet dander, and household allergens.

For above-floor tasks, the unit includes a quick-release handle paired with an extendable stretch hose. It comes with a 7-inch crevice tool, a dusting brush, and an upholstery tool, all of which store directly on the vacuum body. These accessories make it simple to extract pet hair from furniture, freshen up vehicle interiors, or clear dust from window curtains and ceiling edges.

Regular upkeep is necessary to keep the vacuum operating safely. Hair and debris tend to collect around the roller brush, requiring you to clean the roller and belt every two weeks. Neglecting this maintenance can lead to mechanical malfunctions, belt breakage, or smoke caused by excessive friction.

Verdict: The Eureka PowerSpeed provides solid suction and multi-surface flexibility for homes with mixed flooring. If you need dedicated onboard tools and do not mind bi-weekly roller maintenance, it serves as a dependable cleaning option.

A great fit if you:

• Have mixed flooring, including hard floors, standard carpets, and high-pile shag rugs.
• Need onboard tools to clean pet hair from upholstery, car interiors, and curtains.
• Want a vacuum that traps airborne allergens and microscopic dust.
• Are diligent about performing regular roller and belt maintenance.

Consider something else if you:

• Prefer a machine that does not require cleaning the brush roll every two weeks.
• Need a model with exact product weight specifications listed upfront.
