Hoover Carpet and Room Refresher, 32 oz, Carpet Powder, Odor Remover

Hoover Carpet and Room Refresher is a powdered deodorizer formulated to neutralize persistent household smells from soft surfaces throughout the home. It gives homeowners an easy way to address stubborn odors like cooking aromas, mildew, and smoke on everyday fabrics and flooring.

Using the powder is straightforward: sprinkle it evenly across the target area, allow it to sit for 5 minutes, and vacuum it up. Its formula is designed to be gentle on your vacuum while lifting odors from carpets, area rugs, couches, mattresses, and pet beds. Once applied, the fresh linen fragrance helps keep treated rooms smelling clean for up to 3 days.

Because this is a dry powder, it does require a working vacuum for complete removal, making it less practical for hard flooring or spaces without convenient vacuum access. Additionally, the fragrance is limited to a 3-day duration, meaning high-traffic areas or persistent odor sources will need regular reapplication.

Verdict: Hoover Carpet and Room Refresher is a practical pick for anyone needing a quick, multi-surface odor remover for rugs and upholstery. It is ideal for households tackling pet, smoke, or kitchen odors with a simple 5-minute vacuum routine.

A great fit if you:

• Need to freshen carpets, mattresses, pet beds, or upholstered couches
• Want to eliminate noticeable household odors like smoke, mildew, or cooking smells
• Prefer a fast routine that takes only 5 minutes before vacuuming
• Enjoy a fresh linen scent that lasts up to 3 days
