Detailed Review
The POOLWHALE pool vacuum set pairs a weighted triangular head with a 24-foot flexible hose to handle manual pool maintenance. It is designed specifically for above ground pools as well as small inground pools, giving pool owners a dedicated cleaning setup to clear out leaves, twigs, bugs, and settled debris from the pool floor.
The vacuum head features a weighted, see-through build that naturally sinks to the floor and stays submerged throughout cleaning. Its triangular geometry makes maneuvering along tight corners and vertical walls straightforward. Additionally, the head is molded from a soft, elastic material to help prevent direct impact damage to delicate pool liners during vigorous scrubbing sessions.
Connecting the head to your skimmer or pump inlet is a 1.5-inch diameter, 24-foot hose constructed from a crush-resistant proprietary material blend. It utilizes a swivel cuff at the vacuum head attachment point, which prevents annoying kinks and twists while maintaining strong suction and maximum water flow rate across the entire line.
Because this is a manual vacuum kit, you will need to provide your own telescopic pole, as one is not included in the package. It is also not designed to work with automatic suction cleaners or robotic pool vacuums. Users must prime the hose by completely filling it with water before operation to establish and maintain strong suction.
Verdict: This vacuum and hose set is an effective, liner-safe manual cleaning solution for above ground and smaller inground pools. If you already have a telescopic pole and want a kink-resistant hose with a weighted, corner-friendly head, it is a dependable choice.
