Shark SteamSpot Steam Mop with Steam Blaster Technology, White, S2001

The Shark SteamSpot Steam Mop S2001 is a dedicated floor cleaner designed to lift stubborn grime and sanitize hard surfaces using plain water. It suits anyone looking to clean multiple hard floor types without buying or storing chemical cleaning solutions, providing up to 50 percent better stuck-on stain removal compared to a traditional steam mop.

For everyday chores and heavier buildups, the mop provides three output modes labeled Light, Normal, and Deep. When dealing with difficult dried spills, the fingertip-controlled Steam Blaster emits a targeted burst of steam directly onto the trouble spot. The machine comes with an extra-large removable water tank, allowing you to fill up at the sink and clean longer stretches of flooring before needing a top-off.

Handling is straightforward thanks to a lightweight build that comes in under 5 pounds. This slim design makes it easy to guide the mop head around table legs and navigate tight spaces. Floor care is supported by two distinct machine washable pads: a textured Dirt Grip pad for standard absorption, and a scrub pad with stiff material to help lift stuck messes across sealed hardwood, tile, stone, marble, laminate, and vinyl.

In terms of limitations, the system relies strictly on steam and is only intended for sealed hard floors, so unsealed surfaces are not suitable. The package includes one of each pad type, meaning you will need to wash them regularly if you clean large areas frequently. The listing also does not specify the exact liquid capacity of the tank in ounces or the length of the power cord.

Verdict: The Shark SteamSpot is an effective, easy-to-handle option for households with sealed hard floors that need both routine maintenance and targeted spot cleaning. It is especially well-suited for anyone wanting chemical-free sanitization with minimal physical strain.
