Detailed Review
The BUBLUE Bubot 800P Gen2 is an inground robotic pool cleaner designed for pool owners who want comprehensive cleaning without managing rechargeable batteries. Powered by a 150-watt three-axis motor and dual suction ports, it captures leaves, sand, and fine dirt from pool surfaces.
Mobility is handled by tank-style tracks and four roller brushes that allow the unit to traverse pool floors, climb walls, and scrub the waterline. It features three operational cleaning modes: Floor Only, Wall Only, and Auto Mode. Bluesonic Path Navigation works alongside ultrasonic and water-depth sensors to map your pool, avoid obstacles, and clean shallow sections.
For debris collection, the machine utilizes dual 3-liter filter baskets fitted with an ultra-fine filtration system capable of catching hair, sand, and fine particles. Connectivity options include both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, allowing you to schedule cycles or monitor progress through an app. The mobile app also includes a Remote Control Car Mode for targeted spot cleaning and a one-touch Return to Waterline command for easier removal from the water.
Because this is a corded 28-volt system, you will need an accessible power source near your pool area. While it incorporates TangleEase technology to resist cable twists, the listing does not specify the exact total length of the power cord, which may be an important factor for unusually large pool layouts.
Verdict: The BUBLUE 800P Gen2 is a capable choice for inground pool owners seeking full floor-to-waterline scrubbing, large debris capacity, and continuous power without waiting on battery charges.
