BISSELL Big Green Professional Carpet Cleaner, XL DirtLifter PowerBrush

The BISSELL Big Green Professional Carpet Cleaner is built to tackle deep-set grime in carpeted homes. It brings heavy-duty washing performance directly into your living space, making it a solid fit for households with extensive carpeted flooring that require routine, thorough washing.

Cleaning efficiency is driven by a 12 amp motor and rotating DirtLifter power brushes that dig into carpet fibers to remove embedded dirt. Unlike standard uprights that only wash on one stroke, this unit cleans on both forward and backward passes. This two-way motion speeds up the chore and helps surfaces dry faster than competitive rental units.

Water management is also designed around efficiency. The machine features 1.75 gallon clean and dirty water tanks, allowing you to cover significant floor area before heading to the sink for a refill or emptying. For tighter areas, an included stain tool connects to handle spots that the main floor nozzle cannot easily reach. It also ships with a bottle of Bissell 2X Professional Deep Cleaning Formula to get you started immediately.

Trade-offs center on its overall build. Because it holds 1.75 gallons of liquid and houses a 12 amp commercial-style motor, this is a large upright machine that will require dedicated storage space. Additionally, the manufacturer does not specify the exact weight or power cord length in the product data.

Verdict: The BISSELL Big Green is an exceptional choice for homeowners with large carpeted spaces who want deep-cleaning power without renting equipment. Its dual-pass cleaning action and high-capacity tanks make quick work of demanding carpet washing tasks.

A great fit if you:

• Need to deep-clean large carpeted areas with fewer refill interruptions
• Want a machine that washes on both forward and reverse strokes
• Require an attached stain tool to reach awkward, narrow spots

Consider something else if you:

• Have limited closet space to store a full-size deep cleaner
• Only need a lightweight spot cleaner for small, occasional spills
