Detailed Review
The BISSELL TurboClean PET (model 3948) is a compact upright machine designed to clean carpets and upholstery. Built specifically to handle pet messes and everyday household grime, it combines strong suction with specialized scrubbing tools to lift stains out of fabric and floor fibers.
For ground-in dirt in high-traffic zones, the machine uses a 4-row DeepReach PowerBrush that digs past surface debris to pull out messes standard vacuums miss. When working beyond flat floors, the included 7-foot hose attaches to a spraying crevice tool for tight spaces or a 4-inch self-cleanout tool that clears stains and rinses clean with a single press.
Because this model features a compact upright frame, it is built to manage spot areas and rooms rather than provide commercial-scale capacity. The manufacturer details also leave out certain practical specifications, such as the clean and dirty water tank capacities and the length of the electrical power cord.
Verdict: The BISSELL TurboClean PET 3948 is a solid choice for pet owners who need an upright cleaner with above-floor hose tools to tackle embedded carpet dirt and spot stains around the house.
