Eureka NEU182B PowerSpeed Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, Purple

The Eureka NEU182B PowerSpeed is a lightweight bagless upright vacuum designed for whole-home cleaning across hard floors, area rugs, and carpets. Weighing just 10 pounds, it offers a practical floor-care solution for users who want strong cleaning capability without wrestling with a heavy, cumbersome machine.

For primary floor cleaning, the vacuum pairs a dynamic motor and brush roll with a 12.6-inch wide nozzle to pick up heavy and stubborn debris efficiently. Five manual height adjustments allow you to transition smoothly between hard floors, standard carpet, and deep shag rugs. The smooth-rolling wheels are designed to protect hardwood floors from scratches or gouges during use.

Debris collects in an extra-large 4.1-liter dust cup, meaning you can clean larger areas without constantly stopping to empty the bin. For cleaning above the floor, the quick-release handle connects directly to a stretch hose. It includes a 7-inch crevice tool, a dusting brush, and an upholstery tool for targeting pet hair, dirt on curtains, ceilings, door frames, or car interiors. All included attachments store directly on the vacuum body for easy access.

While the 10-pound upright design is relatively easy to steer across open rooms, upright vacuums can still be awkward to balance on narrow staircases. Additionally, transitioning between different carpet pile heights requires you to manually adjust the dial rather than relying on automatic surface sensors.

Verdict: The Eureka NEU182B PowerSpeed is an excellent, straightforward choice for households with mixed flooring types. If you need a high-capacity bagless upright with onboard tools for quick above-floor reach, this vacuum provides reliable utility without extra bulk.
