Detailed Review
The Hoover CleanSlate Plus is a compact, portable spot cleaner designed to lift targeted stains from carpets and upholstered furniture. It targets sudden spills and stubborn messes such as wine, mud, and pet accidents without forcing you to set up a full-sized machine.
For stain removal, the unit includes two dedicated attachments: a 7-inch WidePath tool for broader surfaces and a TightSpot tool for narrow crevices. A dual-tank design holds 40 ounces of clean solution and keeps dirty water separate throughout cleaning. Upkeep is straightforward thanks to an included hose rinse tool that flushes out leftover dirt and debris with fresh water after use.
Because the clean water tank holds 40 ounces, the machine is built strictly for localized spot work rather than entire rooms. The package includes a trial bottle of oxy formula, but ongoing use requires purchasing additional Hoover cleaning solutions such as their Pet or Everyday formulas. Furthermore, the listing does not mention cord length, hose length, or total machine weight.
Verdict: The CleanSlate Plus is a practical choice for pet owners and households that regularly deal with targeted carpet spills or tight upholstery spots. It provides the right attachments for quick stain cleanups and easy post-use maintenance.
