Shark CarpetXpert HairPro StainStriker Carpet & Stain Cleaner, EX301

The Shark CarpetXpert HairPro StainStriker EX301 is an upright carpet and upholstery cleaner designed to eliminate embedded dirt, stubborn pet stains, and trapped hair. It combines high-suction extraction with focused fluid delivery, making it a capable solution for homes dealing with frequent pet accidents, high-traffic hallway grime, or soiled furniture.

For deep floor cleaning, the machine uses CarpetXpert technology, pairing a high-speed brushroll with high-pressure PowerSpray to loosen settled debris before drawing it out with strong suction. To address difficult spots, the StainStriker system automatically mixes two separate solutions on contact. This active mixing delivers OXY stain-fighting power directly onto stains and helps break down lingering odors such as pet urine and smoke rather than temporarily masking them.

Pet owners will appreciate the HairPro design, which picks up both wet and dry pet hair without leaving clumps on the floor or causing tangled hair wraps around the brushroll. For above-floor cleaning, the unit features an extendable handheld spot remover along with four specialized attachments: a Stain Eliminator, an XL Stain Eliminator, a Crevice Tool, and a Hair Extractor. Maintenance is straightforward thanks to an onboard self-cleaning mode that flushes water and solution through the hose and tools when clicked into place.

While the machine includes a versatile tool set and starter bottles of Deep Clean Pet Solution and OXY Multiplier, managing two distinct cleaning solutions is necessary to utilize the StainStriker system. Additionally, the listing does not specify tank capacities, cord length, or the machine weight, so buyers with limited storage should keep the upright footprint in mind.

Verdict: The Shark CarpetXpert HairPro EX301 is a strong choice for pet owners and busy households that need deep carpet cleaning, reliable hair pickup without clogs, and versatile attachments for upholstery and stairs.
