Shark Cordless Pet, Cordless Lightweight Stick Vacuum Cleaner, IY143H

The Shark IY143H is a cordless, lightweight stick vacuum designed to tackle pet hair and routine floor debris without the restriction of a power cord. It serves homes with mixed flooring and sheds by pairing strong suction with targeted floor care features.

Daily floor transitions are handled by FloorDetect Technology, which senses whether the vacuum is over hard floors or carpeting and automatically alters the Turbo Pro Brushroll speed. This removes the need to change cleaner heads midway through cleaning. To handle pet shedding and long hair, the self-cleaning brushroll actively clears strands as you move, keeping hair from wrapping around the cylinder.

For elevated messes, the unit converts into a handheld vacuum. It includes a Crevice Tool for tight crevices and a Pet Multi-Tool suited for furniture cushions and carpeted steps. Dirt and fine particles are kept contained by a Complete Seal HEPA filtration system designed to trap over 99.97% of dust and allergens, while one-touch disposal allows you to drop debris directly into the trash.

Trade-offs stem primarily from its battery-powered design. The vacuum provides up to 40 minutes of runtime per charge, which fits quick cleanups and moderate tasks but requires recharging between extensive jobs. Additionally, the listing does not mention the battery recharge duration or total dust bin capacity.

Verdict: The Shark IY143H is a strong match for pet owners wanting a versatile, tangle-free cordless cleaner that easily transitions across multiple floor types and furniture surfaces.

• Need to clean pet hair from rugs and hard floors without cutting wrapped strands from the brushroll
