Detailed Review
The Simplicity S20EZM Allergy is a traditional bagged upright vacuum built for whole-home floor care. Powered by a 12-amp motor with a continuous brushroll, it is specifically configured to pull deeply embedded dirt, pet hair, and household debris out of rugs and carpeting.
For mixed-flooring households, the vacuum features multi-surface height adjustment and rolls on six rubber wheels, helping it transition smoothly between carpet, laminate, and tile without scratching hard surfaces. Above-floor cleaning is supported by an aluminum telescopic wand with specialized attachments for upholstery, shelves, and tight crevices, all stored directly on the machine. A 30-foot cord provides plenty of range across large rooms before needing an outlet change.
Debris collection relies on a sealed bagged system paired with dual HEPA media filtration. This setup captures particles as small as 0.3 microns inside the compartment, keeping fine dust contained. Everyday operation is straightforward with a comfort-grip handle, reinforced lift points, and foot pedals to control power and handle release.
Because this model uses disposable bags and specialized filters, you will need to replace the SAH-6 bags when they reach two-thirds full and swap the SF20EZM filters every 6 to 12 months. Bags cannot be emptied and reused. Additionally, the continuous brushroll cannot be turned off for bare floor cleaning, though the height adjustment helps accommodate multiple surfaces.
Verdict: The Simplicity S20EZM is a dependable, high-filtration upright vacuum ideal for homeowners who want strong carpet cleaning, versatile multi-surface height settings, and the clean disposal benefits of a sealed bagged system.
