Kenmore DS1030 Cordless Stick Vacuum Lightweight Cleaner 2-Speed Suction

The Kenmore DS1030 Cordless Stick Vacuum is a lightweight floor cleaner built for quick cleanups across both bare floors and carpets. Powered by a 24V rechargeable battery, it converts into a handheld unit weighing less than 3 pounds, making it a practical option for managing pet hair, everyday debris, and stairs without dealing with a cord.

Floor cleaning is supported by swivel steering and built-in LED headlights, which help guide the nozzle around furniture and spot hidden dirt along baseboards. A standout feature is the Easycut nozzle, designed to remove tangled hair and fibers from the agitator with a single button press so you do not have to manually cut clogs away. Two speed modes allow you to adjust suction when transitioning between hard surfaces like tile, linoleum, or hardwood, and soft surfaces like carpet.

For above-floor chores, the unit converts to a handheld vacuum and pairs with three included attachments: a long crevice tool, a dusting brush, and a 2-in-1 combination tool. When cleaning is finished, the 24V battery docks on its included charging stand using a portable adapter. The battery recharges in less than 5 hours.

Keep in mind that while the battery provides up to 45 minutes of continuous power on Low mode, the exact run time on High mode is not stated. Buyers with larger carpeted areas who require high suction throughout may need to plan around the five-hour recharge cycle.

Verdict: The Kenmore DS1030 is a reliable, versatile option for anyone seeking an easy-to-carry vacuum with useful attachments and self-cleaning brushroll convenience. It is especially well suited for multi-surface homes and quick pet hair cleanups.
