Shark LA701 Rotator Pet Lift-Away ADV Upright Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro

The Shark LA701 Rotator Pet Lift-Away ADV is an upright vacuum designed to handle household pet hair, dust, and daily floor debris. It combines upright suction power with a detachable canister, making it a capable solution for homes that require both standard floor cleaning and off-the-floor detailing.

Floor care relies on the DuoClean PowerFins HairPro two-brushroll system, which is built to tackle both large debris and hair without missing fine dust. For stairs, windows, and elevated areas, the Lift-Away feature lets you remove the canister from the base to carry it around easily. Integrated LED headlights on the nozzle illuminate hidden dirt under furniture, while advanced swivel steering provides smooth maneuvering around tight corners.

Air quality and home freshness are addressed through a multi-stage approach. The Anti-Allergen Complete Seal system works alongside an internal HEPA filter to keep airborne particles trapped inside the unit. In addition, an Odor Neutralizer Technology cartridge installs directly into the vacuum to guard against unpleasant smells during and after cleaning sessions.

While this upright offers versatility through included tools like the pet-multi tool and duster crevice tool, it remains a full-sized vacuum that may take up more closet space than a stick model. The product details also do not specify cord length, total weight, or dust cup capacity, and maintaining the odor-neutralizing feature will eventually require replacing the cartridge.

Verdict: The Shark LA701 is an excellent option for pet owners and households wanting strong filtration, dual-brushroll pickup, and portable Lift-Away reach. It provides reliable floor-to-ceiling cleaning with specialized accessories to handle everyday messes.

A great fit if you:

• Have pets and need dual brushrolls and dedicated tools for hair pickup
• Want to clean stairs, window sills, and above-floor spots using a detachable canister
• Value cleaner exhaust air with a sealed HEPA filtration system
• Need built-in headlights and swivel steering to spot and reach dirt in dark spaces

Consider something else if you:

• Prefer an ultra-compact or lightweight stick vacuum format for minimal storage needs
• Do not want a vacuum that uses consumable odor cartridges
