Shark ZU561 Navigator Lift-Away Speed Self Cleaning Brushroll Lightweight Upright Vacuum with

The Shark ZU561 Navigator Lift-Away Speed is a versatile upright vacuum designed to handle pet hair and multi-surface floor care. It combines standard upright suction for carpets and hard floors with a detachable Lift-Away pod, allowing you to carry the core unit to clean stairs, furniture, and other above-floor areas without moving the entire frame.

A standout feature is the self-cleaning brushroll, which actively prevents hair wrap while picking up stubborn pet hair. For whole-home air quality, the vacuum incorporates Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology alongside a HEPA filter, trapping more than 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the unit. Swivel steering and an integrated suction control slider give you quick control over movement and airflow across different flooring surfaces.

When looking at potential trade-offs, the product packaging includes a manual labeled for the ZU560 series, which applies to both the ZU560 and ZU561 models even though the ZU561 is the item inside the box. Additionally, the specifications do not state the exact dust cup capacity, overall weight, or cord length, so those seeking specific measurements will need to note those omissions.

Verdict: The Shark ZU561 is well-suited for households dealing with pet hair and multi-level cleaning needs. Its combination of a tangle-free brushroll, sealed HEPA filtration, and portable canister mode makes it a practical, adaptable upright vacuum.

A great fit if you:

• Need to clean up pet hair without constantly cutting tangled strands from the brushroll
• Want a vacuum that converts into a portable canister for stairs and upholstery
• Require sealed HEPA filtration to trap household dust and allergens
• Switch frequently between hard floors and carpets using suction adjustments

Consider something else if you:

• Prefer a bagged vacuum system over an emptyable dust cup
• Need precise cord length or canister weight specifications prior to buying

Does hair get wrapped around the brushroll?
The vacuum features a self-cleaning brushroll designed for pet hair pickup without hair wrapping around the roller.

How does the Lift-Away mode work?
You detach the pod from the main upright base, allowing you to carry the vacuum to clean stairs, upholstery, and other above-floor areas.

Why does the included manual say ZU560 series?
The manual is accurate for both the ZU560 and ZU561 models, but the ZU561 model is what is included in the box.
