Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, Blue, Lite

The NEU182A PowerSpeed is a lightweight bagless upright vacuum built for general whole-home floor care. Weighing just 10 pounds, it offers a manageable option for anyone who wants straightforward upright suction without the bulk of a heavy machine.

Cleaning power comes from a 960-watt motor paired with an active brush roll that works across hard floors, carpets, and rugs. The floor head features a 12.6-inch cleaning path to collect stubborn debris quickly, while five height adjustment settings let you match the nozzle clearance to bare floors or thick shag carpeting. Smooth wheels help protect wood flooring from scratches during passes.

For above-floor tasks, the unit comes equipped with a handle wand, a crevice tool, an upholstery tool, and a dusting brush. However, regular upkeep is essential for long-term operation. The manufacturer notes that hair and dirt wrap around the roller, so the roller brush and belt need manual cleaning every two weeks to prevent malfunctions, smoke, or broken belts. This specific package also does not include a dedicated pet tool.

Verdict: The NEU182A is a practical choice for shoppers seeking a budget-friendly, 10-pound upright vacuum that easily transitions between bare floors and carpets. As long as you are willing to perform bi-weekly brush maintenance, it provides dependable multi-surface cleaning.
